
Streusel-Filled Buttermilk Coffee Cake
Ingredients
Batter
- 3½ c Grandpa's Kitchen Flour Blend
- 1½ c Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Baking Powder
- 2 Eggs
- ½ c Butter Softened
- 1½ c Buttermilk
- 1 tsp Salt
Filling and Topping
- 1⅓ c Brown Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Cinnamon
- 6 Tbsp Buttered Chilled
- ⅔ c Chopped Nuts Optional
Instructions
Batter
- In large bowl combine dry ingredients.
- Add butter, buttermilk and egg.
- Beat with hand mixer for 30 seconds.
- Spread half of batter in 9×13 pan.
- In small bowl combing Filling & Topping ingredients
- Sprinkle half on top of batter.
- Spoon in the remaining batter and top with the rest of the filling.
- Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
Filling and Topping
- Cut butter into sugar mixture until you have fine crumbles. Do not overwork the butter so that it gets hot and melts.
