
Tri-Tip with Jambalaya Rice
Ingredients
- ¼ Cup Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Finley Chopped Onion
- 1 Small Yellow Pepper Chopped
- 2 Tbsp Granulated Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 Tbsp Vinegar
- 2 Stalked Celery Chopped
- 1½-2 lb Steak Or Pork Chops
- 1 Pkg Lipton Cream of Chicken Soup
- 1 small red pepper Chopped
- ⅓ Cup Onion Chopped
- 1 Clove Garlic Minced
- ¼ Cup Rice
- ¼ tsp Paprika
- 1¼ Cup Water
- ¼ lb Italian sausage
Instructions
- Stir together soy sauce, 2 Tbsp onion, sugar, brown sugar, lemon juice, vinegar and chili powder.
- Heat grill to med. heat.
- Place meat on grill
- Cover, grill 36 to 40 min.
- rush meat often with soy mixture during last 10 minutes.
- Cover meat and let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
- In large saucepan cook sausage until lightly brown.
- Add celery, peppers, 1/3 c onion, and garlic.
- Cook and stir for 5 min.
- Add rice and paprika.
- Cook and stir 2 min.
- Add soup and water. Bring to boiling, reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 min. or until rice is tender. Serve with meat.
